What does your daily or weekly fitness regime consist of?
"I work out 5-6 days a week at North Shore Elite. Workouts include cardio (spin classes, stair master and treadmill), weight training on my own and with a great personal trainer and ab work 5 days a week. I work out early in the morning so I’m home with my kids before they go to school and I head to the office."

Other than the obvious health benefits, how has being fit improved your life?
"At age 40, I’m so glad that I can keep up with my kids and live a very active lifestyle. I wasn’t always fit so I realize now how much better I feel physically and feel about myself."

How does personal fitness affect your work life?
"I believe having a regular fitness regimen gives me a ton of energy all day long. I love starting the day at the gym, especially in such a social environment. Milwaukee’s a small town and, given the weather, a gym can be a great way to meet people and stay connected."

Do you have a corporate health or wellness initiative?
"No."

How does fitness or wellness affect your overall organization?
"We are a small company — seven women, most of us working moms. And many of us have flexible work schedules. I think it’s possible for everyone to work exercise into their daily lives if they want to. And since relaxation is a big part of wellness, we have a massage therapist at our offices every other week so everyone on staff can refuel with 20-minute massages."

What advice do you have for other executives interested in starting either a personal fitness plan or corporate wellness initiative?
"In marketing terms, invest in a "personal rebranding effort." A trainer can help you develop a personal fitness plan, push you to work your hardest and help you reach your goals. I’ve tried a lot of gyms and plenty of workout routines, but nothing solidified my commitment to exercise until I invested in a personal trainer."
