Boutique Larrieux, a plus-sized clothing store for women located at 315 N. Broadway in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, will close.
The store, which opened in 2010 at 717 N. Milwaukee St. and moved to the Third Ward in 2011, will have a 50 percent off store closing sale on Nov. 1.
“We are re-purposing the Boutique Larrieux brand,” said store owner Lydia Hamilton-Monnie.
Starting next year, Boutique Larrieux will host quarterly pop-up shopping events in Milwaukee and Chicago where its customers can try on samples from the store’s designers, and then place orders to have them shipped to their homes.
“It’s a way for us to still be able to serve our clients without having the overhead of a storefront and purchasing inventory,” Hamilton-Monnie said.
