Jeffrey Allen has been named the new executive vice president, chief strategy officer and chief financial officer of the Blood Center of Wisconsin.
Allen currently serves as assistant treasurer of the Blood Center Research Foundation, and is a member of the Investment & Finance Committee of Blood Centers of America, a national cooperative.
Prior to joining BloodCenter in 2003, Allen was with Baxter Healthcare International for 16 years, where he served most recently as vice president of finance for the $2 billion renal group.
“I look forward to developing and implementing innovative programs to grow and better position BloodCenter of Wisconsin for the changing healthcare landscape of the future,” said Allen.
Allen is responsible for developing and leading the organization’s long-range strategies, including the creation of strategic partnerships and alliances. He will also be responsible for all financial, accounting, treasury and supply chain functions and provide executive oversight for BloodCenter’s IT and marketing functions.
“Today’s complex healthcare environment brings both challenges and opportunities,” said Jacquelyn Fredrick, BloodCenter’s CEO and President. “Our commitment to our customers is to find better ways to lower costs and increase service and quality. Jeff is the right person to lead us in this effort.”
