BizTimes Nonprofit Weekly: Homeless seek shelter during cold snap

Organizations:

Repairers of the Breach, a daytime shelter and resource facility for homeless residents of Milwaukee, remained open 24 hours Thursday due to the bitterly cold weather.

The shelter is preparing to continue its 24-hour operation through the weekend as weather forecasts predict more frigid winter weather ahead. Thursday night was the sixth consecutive night of 24-hour service at the shelter and the 10th night in 2013. Between 35 and 40 homeless men and women have rested at Repairers of the Breach each night during the cold snap. For more, read the BizTimes Nonprofit Weekly.
