BizTimes Morning Headlines: Nemschoff to close Iowa plant and move jobs to Sheboygan

Nemschoff Inc. is closing its plant in Sioux Center, Iowa, and transferring work done there to its Sheboygan plant, a company spokesman said.

The plant closing will put 92 people out of work in Sioux Center, said Mark Schurman, director of corporate communications for Herman Miller Inc., Nemschoff’s parent company. The company recently laid off 19 people there, he said. Schurman said the move means Nemschoff will add 35 to 45 new jobs in Sheboygan. For more, read today’s BizTimes Morning Headlines
