SHARP Literacy Inc.’s 2013 A Novel Event luncheon, the nonprofit organization’s largest fundraiser of the year, drew about 650 attendees to the Pfister Hotel to hear keynote speaker Donald Driver.
The former Green Bay Packer and “Dancing with the Stars” champion reinforced SHARP Literacy’s value on quality education and push to build reading, writing and research skills among students in urban schools. This year’s A Novel Event raised about $250,000 with proceeds helping fund literacy programming in area schools. BizTimes Media served as a media sponsor of the luncheon.
