Johnson Controls

Johnson Controls, headquartered in Glendale, has earned recognition from the national nonprofit campaign “2020 Women on Boards” for having women represent 20 percent of its board of directors in 2013.

The company received the campaign’s Winning “W” Company certificate for its efforts to diversify its board of directors. Last year, two women were part of Johnson Controls’ 10-member board. “2020 Women on Boards” aims to boost the percentage of women serving on public company boards to at least 20 percent by the year 2020.

DCI-Artform

DCI-Artform, a Milwaukee-based company specializing in retail merchandising and marketing, has unveiled a new logo, tagline and website to distinguish and bolster its brand. Its new tagline reads “Retail Redefined” to reflect its focus on consumers and their shopping experiences. The company’s new website is www.dci-artform.com. The site includes an “In+Vision” blog, capturing the merchandising and marketing expertise of DCI-Artform employees. The rebranding follows the Marmon Group’s acquisition of DCI-Artform in January.

ManpowerGroup

Milwaukee-based ManpowerGroup was recently named to the 15th annual list of America’s Top Corporations for Women’s Business Enterprises. The list, released by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, highlights corporations with leading supplier diversity programs that incorporate women’s business enterprises in their supply chains. Each designated corporation will be recognized at the WBENC Summit & Salute to Women’s Business Enterprises March 18-20 in New Orleans. WBENC is a national nonprofit and advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to corporations throughout the country. It is also a third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women.

Associated Bank

Associated Bank is expanding its revamped training program, Associated University, based on a prototype location in Milwaukee. The training space opened about a year and a half ago at 815 N. Water St. in the Milwaukee Center complex downtown. Associated University satellite locations now include Madison, Stevens Point, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, West Elgin, Ill., and Mendota Heights, Minn. The core Associated University Corporate at the Green Bay headquarters is in development, and additional satellite locations will likely open throughout the bank’s service area in the next few months. Sites house training sessions and programs for new and existing bank employees as well as professional development, leadership and internship programs. Associated University’s Milwaukee location also functions as a workspace for the Milwaukee talent acquisition team.
