Extendicare Health Services Inc. announced that the company’s employee communications video, “Focus on What Matters,” produced with Plum Moving Media, received a Platinum MarCom Award, the top honor, for exemplary video creativity and production. “Focus on What Matters,” has also previously received a 2009 Videographer Award and 2009 Telly Award.
Menomonee Valley Industrial Center and Community Park
The Menomonee Valley Industrial Center and Community Park (MVIC) in Milwaukee is the 2009 Region 5 winner of the Phoenix Award and is a contender for the Grand Phoenix Award – the top brownfield project in the United States. MVIC is on a 133-acre property in the valley. MVIC has attracted six companies since 2005 with 700 jobs. City tax revenue from the property has increased by $1 million annually. CH2M HILL, a global full-service engineering, construction, and operations firm, partnered with the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee, non-profit groups, regulatory agencies, the community, and prospective developers to create a plan to redevelop the property.
Sheboygan-based Acuity’s 2008 annual report earned a Gold MarCom Award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, the international organization consisting of thousands of advertising, public relations, and media production professionals. The MarCom Awards represent the world’s largest international competition for the concept, writing, and design of marketing and communication programs and materials. More than 5,000 entries from both U.S. and foreign firms were evaluated in this year’s competition. Acuity’s 2008 annual report was designed as a collection of “World Records.” The full-color, 52-page report was produced in book form, including a hard-cover binding. Additionally, all Acuity employees participated in production of the report by setting the official Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people dressed as Waldo. This achievement is also featured in the recently published Guinness World Records 2010: The Book of the Decade.
Z2 Marketing and Communication
The Milwaukee Wave has selected Z2 Marketing of Pewaukee to return as the Milwaukee Wave’s agency of record for a fifth consecutive season.
During Z2’s tenure with the Wave, the agency has produced multiple advertising campaigns, secured the most successful media day in team history and helped shape pre-game atmosphere with player introduction videos and original, high-intensity music.
Zizzo Group Advertising and Public Relations
Zizzo Group, Milwaukee, has announced the launch of a community health and awareness initiative in Colorado. Collaborating with Kaiser Permanente Colorado, The Denver Post, and CBS-TV Channel 4, Zizzo Group launched a multi-year health outreach program titled Elevate Your Health Colorado. The campaign uses an integrated blend of media to deliver a series of wellness topics addressed by Kaiser Permanente physician experts and their health care teams to promote health education and awareness in Denver and Boulder. The Elevate Your Health Colorado web site, www.ElevateYourHealthCO.com, launched in August as the initiative’s informational cornerstone with the subject of back-to-school kids’ health. On a monthly basis, the site highlights a relevant health topic for the community, archiving previous information in a health library, to create a health care resource from local health care experts that all community members can access.

Productive Knowledge Marketing and Public Relations of Brookfield has been selected to provide brand development for Road Widener LLC of Oconomowoc. Work includes strategic planning, brand development, sales and marketing materials, publicity, trade show materials and a web site. Road Widener LLC developed a smaller size road widener as a skid steer attachment for contractors, landscapers and others needing to efficiently work on shoulders, driveways, trails and paths.
