PKA Marketing

Mequon-based PKA Marketing has developed a multi-faceted marketing campaign for Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon. The campaign is aimed at increasing the university’s brand awareness among several key target markets. The campaign marks the official roll-out of Concordia’s new brand positioning, “Inspiration in Action.” It includes print, outdoor and television advertising that targets adult and e-learning students as well as traditional college students. The center of the campaign is a television spot that demonstrates the “inspiration” theme. A montage of video footage featuring Concordia’s picturesque lakefront campus is set to music and concludes with the “Inspiration in Action” tagline. The spot is running on 12 networks on Time Warner Cable. In addition to television, the campaign also includes outdoor advertising. Billboards have been placed near the main campus in Mequon, and in cities near Concordia adult education centers: Appleton, Beloit, Eau Claire, Green Bay, Janesville, Madison, Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Racine/Kenosha, Rockford, Ill., St. Louis, and Wausau. The billboards are designed to generate awareness in Concordia’s adult education and e-learning programs, as well as their traditional undergraduate program. Completing the campaign are print ads running in Milwaukee-area business publications. The print ads promote Concordia’s adult education programs, specifically in business management. The campaign was launched in August and will run through 2010.

Milwaukee-based Zizzo Group Advertising & Public Relations announced the launch of a health care community outreach and communications program for Chicago-based Adventist Midwest Health. Adventist Midwest Health includes a network of four not-for-profit hospitals and outpatient-based health care facilities serving Chicago’s western and southwestern suburbs. Zizzo Group is working with Adventist Midwest Health on a comprehensive media program, Keeping Chicago Well, that will aid the system’s hospitals in branching out to the Chicago area on a more personal level by bringing health care information from local doctors to the community through print, television and a dedicated web site, www.keepingchicagowell.com. The Keeping Chicago Well program will build upon Adventist Midwest Health’s current community outreach initiatives, which include community health fairs and events, health screenings and physician lectures. Adventist Midwest Health began working with Zizzo Group for this engagement in part based on the firm’s experience creating similar but customized programs for health care systems across the country. The two partnered with the Tribune Media Group, which includes the Chicago Tribune, WGN/CLTV and the Triblocal weekly newspaper to provide an integrated blend of media outlets, and co-branded partnership for Adventist Midwest Health’s community outreach efforts.
