The Owner Assisted Remodeling (OAR) Group Inc.

The Owner Assisted Remodeling (OAR) Group Inc., Elm Grove, received the 2007 Best of Show award from the Milwaukee Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), Wauwatosa, in conjunction with Milwaukee NARI’s Spring Home Improvement Showcase. Visitors to the Spring Showcase project locations voted for a Best of Show award based on what they believed was the best example of workmanship and attention to detail. The OAR Group expanded an existing 1.5-story lake home on Wind Lake in the Town of Norway, replacing the garage with a 2,300 square-foot, two-story addition with a new attached garage. The existing home was gutted and half of the original second floor was removed, allowing for the creation of a great room which previously housed the kitchen, dining room and family room. The open concept enabled the addition of lake views in each room and a 16-foot ceiling in the great room. The remaining portion of the second floor is an open loft with lake views. Other features include new Pella windows and doors throughout the home, a new roof, in-floor heating system, hardi-plank siding, mirtec trim, tile, hardwood and ornate solid oak millwork.
