Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin
Menasha-based Faith Technologies recently received the 2010 Build Wisconsin Award from the Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin for its work on Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin’s West Tower Expansion in Wauwatosa. Faith Technologies won in the Speciality Contractor- Electrical category. The company helped install the low voltage cabling for the telephones, computers, clinical engineering and biomedical equipment, WLAN and overhead paging speakers in the 12-story Children’s Hospital building. Faith Technologies’ work on the project also included the fiber optic and copper backbone cabling tie-ins to the existing campus infrastructure, the installation of a distributed antenna system for Verizon Networks, a design-assist engagement with Children’s Hospital for the Cisco WLAN and the sale and installation of a MessageNet EMACS Emergency Messaging Server. AGC of Wisconsin received more than 65 applications for the awards program. Projects are evaluated by a panel of construction industry professionals, including architects, engineers, city officials and other building experts who select the top projects to receive the awards. Projects were awarded points based on innovation, teamwork, overcoming challenges and client satisfaction.
Froedtert, Wheaton Franciscan
Wauwatosa-based Froedtert Hospital and Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare’s All Saints Hospital in Racine are two of the four Wisconsin hospitals that were recently awarded the National Research Corporation’s 2010-11 Consumer Choice Award for best hospital. The award recognizes hospitals across the United States for consumer determined quality of care and reputation. The organizations selected for the Consumer Choice Awards are chosen by people who live in the communities the hospitals serve. To determine the top hospitals, NRC conducts an annual health care market guide survey of more than 450,000 consumers throughout the United States. The other Wisconsin hospitals on the list are Bellin Hospital in Green Bay and Theda Clark Hospital in Appleton.
Horny Goat Brewing Company
Beer Business Daily recently published the list of the top ten best-selling craft beer brands across the country according to 2010 sales year to date. Milwaukee-based Horny Goat Brewing Company’s variety pack came in 9th for top sales of new craft beer. The awards were scored nationally, but Horny Goat Brewing Company is only distributed in Wisconsin. Jim Sorenson, owner and managing partner of Horny Goat Brewing Company hopes to expand distribution to 15 states over the next three years.

Glendale-based Theis and Associates LLC has been named to the Top 50 Emerging Companies list by a group of national venture capitalist for “Pitching America” promotions. Theis and Associates LLC launched an innovative remote and interoperable program called My Crisis Capsule. The mobile technology and transmittal service system includes a portable software device that creates and stores the electronic personal health records called. The device allows an individual to access a private server data base to create, update, manage and share their personal health records with health care providers anywhere anytime.
