Midland Packaging & Display
Franksville-based Midland Packaging and Display Inc., recently earned the silver award in the Home Centers & Hardware category of the In-Store Marketing Institute’s 2010 Design of the Times Awards Competition. Midland Packaging and Display received the silver award for its Werner Ladder display for Pennsylvania-based Werner Company. Presented by Shopper Magazine, the Design of the Times Awards Competition recognizes the in-store marketing industry’s best displays and retail promotions. Brand marketing and retailing executives judged the entries based on creativity in design and engineering, the innovative use of materials, the compatibility of the display to its retail channel, its ability to enhance the brand’s image, and the realization of sales and marketing objectives.
Manpower
Milwaukee-based Manpower Inc. recently selected three winners of its 2010 Supplier of Excellence Awards. The Supplier of Excellence Awards are given to companies for outstanding supplier affiliation and customer service and was done in conjunction with the company’s 8th Annual Supplier Diversity Roundtable held in Milwaukee.
This year’s winners are Milwaukee-based Victory Personnel Services, Atlanta-based CorTech LLC, and Portland, Ore.-based Olsa Resources. All three companies are in the staffing industry and are minority or women-owned businesses.
Manpower’s Supplier Diversity Roundtable provides a venue for participants to discuss successes and challenges affecting their businesses and identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships. This year more than 100 diversity suppliers attended the 8th annual event, which included presentations from Manpower and industry leaders on topics such as employment law, workplace trends and social media networks. The Roundtable also included matchmaker sessions where participants were given opportunities to work together to build partnerships and network.
Lemberg Electric Company, Inc.
Lemberg Electric Company, Inc., Brookfield-based Lemberg Sign & Lighting, a division of Lemberg Electric Company, Inc. recently won four design awards at the 2010 Wisconsin Sign Association Fall Conference. This is the sixth design award in the past two years for the company. Last year, Lemberg purchased SoLite Neon Sign Company, a full service sign company to expand Lemberg’s Sign & Lighting division.
