Creative Business Interiors, Milwaukee, provided business furnishings for several award winning projects at the annual Wisconsin Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Design Awards Gala held in February. Projects included the Sheboygan Police Department, Gold Award Winner, and B&L Marketing, Waukesha, Silver Award Winner.
Foley & Lardner LLP

Legal Action of Wisconsin LLP announced that it has received a $10,000 donation from Foley & Lardner LLP in Milwaukee. The donation is the result of attorney fees recovered in a case won by Foley attorney David N. Farwell on behalf of a Legal Action client. Legal Action of Wisconsin’s Milwaukee Office provides free legal services in a variety of civil legal matters to eligible applicants residing in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties. Legal Action’s Milwaukee Office is also home to the SeniorLAW project, which serves people 60 and older, and the Road to Opportunity Project, which resolves civil legal problems that are barriers to employment, such as the recovery of a valid driver’s license. Local attorneys provide pro bono legal services to supplement the work of Legal Action of Wisconsin’s staff attorneys and paralegals. Legal Action uses donations to offset the court costs and other expenses that volunteer attorneys may incur during the course of their representation.

K2 Sourcing

K2 Sourcing, a Belgium, Wis.-based technology firm, announced that it has been awarded an order to provide a single-event reverse auction service to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The FAA selected K2 Sourcing’s reverse auction technology as a good fit for an acquisition project. The K2 Sourcing solution is designed to help organizations quickly reduce the procurement costs of goods and services.

‘Verge’ will be name of new Milwaukee festival

Milwaukee World Festival Inc. officials announced that “Verge” is the winning name for Milwaukee’s new alternative and modern rock music festival.

“Verge” was the top vote-getter in the online naming contest at www.yourmusicfest.com.
The creator of the winning submission is Katie Kostuck, a resident in the greater Milwaukee area. A final event logo will be revealed along with the official festival website, www.vergemusicfestival.com.
The current entertainment lineup features: Weezer, AFI, Three Days Grace, Crash Kings, Eagles of Death Metal, Cold War Kids, The Raveonettes, Rogue Wave, She & Him, Nico Vega, Reni Lane, Jaill, The Championship, Figureheads, Geri X, Pezzettino, 1956, Red Knife Lottery, Invade Rome, Revision Text and Juniper Tar.
In addition to the music, “Verge” will feature a pro-am skateboard and BMX competition, tattoo contest and more. Verge will kick off the summer festival season on Friday, June 4, and Saturday, June 5, at Henry Maier Festival Park.
