International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans

The International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, Brookfield, launched a certificate of achievement in public plan policy (CAPPP) program. The program is designed for public sector trustees and outlines structure and fiduciary responsibility for public sector health and pension plans. The new program, Scholar Series, takes the curriculum from the CAPPP program to an advanced level. The Scholar Series is designed for CAPPP graduates, experienced trustees and key administrative staff. The first course in the Scholar Series is the Certificate of Distinction in Board Governance.

Scheibel Halaska Inc.

Scheibel Halaska Inc., Milwaukee, will serve as the agency of record for D-M-E Company, Madison Heights, Mich., a supplier of mold technologies for the plastics industry. Scheibel Halaska will develop a new brand campaign for D-M-E that will include branding, advertising, online communications and public relations.

R.A. Smith & Associates Inc.

R.A. Smith & Associates Inc., Brookfield, is preparing a comprehensive plan for the Village of Menomonee Falls. The plan will create four additional comprehensive neighborhood plans for the southwest area, northwest area, southeast area and central portions of the village to compliment the two adopted plans. The plan will address public participation; issues and opportunities including demographics, population trends, household sizes, education levels and income levels; housing; transportation; utilities; community facilities; agricultural, natural and cultural resources; economic development; intergovernmental cooperation and land use and implementation. The village’s comprehensive plan is expected to be completed in 2007 and will address planning issues through 2030.

Image Makers Advertising Inc.

Image Makers Advertising Inc., Waukesha, will serve as the agency of record for Halquist Stone Co., Sussex. Image Makers will offer strategic marketing planning, public relations, media buying and production of creative materials for the company. Halquist Stone quarries stone for building, landscaping and paving materials and recently began fabricating and installing stone for countertops and fireplaces.

West Bend Mutual Insurance Co.

West Bend Mutual Insurance Co., West Bend, with a group of independent insurance agents who represent the company, raised $58,000 for the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC) Fund, Milwaukee. West Bend Mutual also donated $5,000 on behalf of Cindy Steinbach of Mayville Insurance Agency, Mayville, the recipient of the 2006 W.E. “Mike” Koehler Distinguished Agent Award from the MACC Fund.

Mount Mary College

Linda Timm joined Mount Mary College, Wauwatosa, as president. Timm has more than 30 years of experience in higher education and most recently worked for St. Mary’s College.

Milwaukee Area Technical College

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) will offer a licensed practical nursing (LPN) program at the Oak Creek Campus this fall. The program will continue to be offered at the Milwaukee campus. The addition of the program to the Oak Creek campus will increase the annual total capacity by 48 students.

Gregory Wojczak & Associates Inc.

Gregory Wojczak & Associates Inc., Butler, received the Business of the Year award from the Butler Area Chamber of Commerce. Gregory Wojczak, owner, joined the chamber in 1992, became a board member in 1994 and served as vice president from 1995 to 1996 and as president from 1996 to 1997. He has served as treasurer since 2000.

Wisconsin Aluminum Supply Co.

The Wisconsin Aluminum Supply Co. (WASCO), Milwaukee, received the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) award from the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA). WASCO is the first Milwaukee-based company to receive this award. The SHARP award recognizes small employers around the country who operate an exemplary safety and health management system. Businesses that receive SHARP recognition become exempt from programmed inspections during the period that the SHARP certification is valid.

Inland Companies Inc.

Inland Companies Inc., Milwaukee, was selected to exclusively represent Transwestern Investment Company in the leasing of the Milwaukee Center at 111 E. Kilbourn Ave., Milwaukee. The leasing agents are Scott Welsh, Steve Pape and Lyle Landowski. The Milwaukee Center is a 28-story, 370,000-square-foot class A office building in downtown Milwaukee. The office building is connected to the Wyndham Hotel, Pabst Theater and Milwaukee Repertory theaters.
