BelAir was announced as the latest tenant Friday of the 750,000-square-foot mixed-use development at I-94 and Barker Road in the Town of Brookfield.

BelAir will be located in a key location of The Corners, the market square, where developers are hoping to create a public plaza. The 250-seat restaurant will feature BelAir’s signature outdoor patio.

“We have a vision of what we want this to be, and if we get the right tenants, the people will do the rest,” said Robert Gould, vice president of U.S. operations for IM Properties, one of the developers of the project. Gould said when his real estate brokers brought him the idea of BelAir, he visited the Wauwatosa location and knew it was the right fit.

BelAir owner Leslie Montemurro said since BelAir opened its first restaurant in Milwaukee in 2010, customers have been asking for a location in the western suburbs.

“The Corners is a perfect fit for us,” Montemurro said.

The complex also will include 244 luxury apartment homes and parking for more than 1,700 cars.

Other announced retailers include Anthropologie, Arhaus, Café Hollander, Evereve, Francesca’s, Free People, lululemon athletica, L.L.Bean, Paper Source, Scout and Molly’s, and Twigs.
