Artist creates coloring book for all ages

Local Artist Reginald Baylor and his assistant Heidi Witz will unveil an All-ages Coloring Book to help support the Local Initiatives Support Coalition’s (LISC) Urban Art Initiative and help beautify the Inner City. The unveiling will take place at an event on Friday, Nov. 13 at Design Within Reach, 167 N. Broadway from 5 until 8 p.m.

Guests at the event will learn more about LISC, and be asked to help color a giant poster of the book’s cover, a piece designed by Baylor entitled “6 down and 9 up”  

Baylor will be donating a portion from each coloring book sold to support the Local Initiatives Support Corporation, representatives from LISC will be on hand to explain how the proceeds will be used to help further urban art in Milwaukee.In 2009, Baylor opened his second studio within the historic Pfister Hotel where he is serving as the hotel’s first Resident Artist.
