The African American Chamber of Commerce will host its annual meeting in downtown Milwaukee on Tuesday, May 14, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the ManpowerGroup headquarters.
The African American Chamber of Commerce’s featured guest will be U.S. Black Chamber of Commerce president Ron Busby. The U.S. Black Chamber, of which the African American Chamber of Commerce is a member, is advocating a national black business agenda under Busby’s leadership.
Meeting attendees will gain knowledge on business and economic development efforts from local and national perspectives.
Founded in 1993, The African American Chamber of Commerce is celebrating 20 years of serving the community in business and economic development.
The Chamber will unveil its 2013 vision framed by four pillars of service: (1) Access to capital; (2) Advocacy; (3) Business development; and (4) Entrepreneurship.
In addition, new members will be elected to the organization’s board of directors.
