Beloit-based building products distributor ABC Supply Co. Inc. has acquired the inventory and select equipment previously owned by JB Supply Company, a distributor of roofing, siding and other exterior building products in Flint, Mich.
The former JB Supply facility will operate as an ABC Supply branch. It will be ABC Supply’s first facility in Flint and fills a geographic gap between the company’s locations in Saginaw, Mich., to the northwest and the Detroit metropolitan market to the southeast.
“This acquisition gives us a presence in this part of the Flint/Tri-Cities region of Michigan for the first time,” said ABC Supply’s chief executive officer David Luck. “It continues our expansion in Michigan and builds on our acquisition earlier this year of Lee Wholesale Supply and its four locations in the Detroit market area, allowing us to provide more seamless service to contractors throughout this area of the state.”
The Flint branch will continue to offer a wide variety of steep-slope roofing products, as well as siding, low-slope roofing systems, gutter, windows and doors. That product offering will also be expanded with additional, complementary, products and services, said Jim Welch, vice president of ABC Supply’s Midwest Region.
