As the executive director of undergraduate admissions and divisional strategy lead at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Marc Young leads initiatives to drive enrollment growth and enhance institutional visibility.
His leadership is characterized by leveraging data-driven strategies, building dynamic teams, and aligning divisional objectives with the university’s mission, according to William Broussard, vice chancellor of university advancement for the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
A two-time alumnus of UW-Stevens Point, Young also spent nearly eight years in admissions roles at the university, achieving record-breaking growth in first-year applications, admissions and enrollment.
Since joining UW-Milwaukee in 2021, Young has led the admissions team to achieve three consecutive years of growth in new first-year student enrollment. In 2024, UW-Milwaukee experienced an 8% increase in new first-year enrollments and a 5% increase in new transfer enrollments.
“This sustained growth is rooted in a focused commitment to serving socioeconomically disadvantaged and historically marginalized student populations,” said Broussard.
