A personal injury attorney from Boca Raton, Fla., has purchased a Cudahy shopping center for $3 million, according to state records.

Fred Chikovsky bought the 117,827-square-foot Packard Plaza, 5656 S. Packard Ave., from New York-based Brixmor Property Group according to state records.

Chikovsky, owner of Fred Chikovsky & Associates LLC., said he plans on fixing up the property and renting it to full occupancy. Current tenants include a Jo-Ann Fabrics, Family Dollar and Auto Zone.

“I want it to be great for the community like it was in the past,” Chikovsky said.
