The final site and operational plans for Uline’s 284,260-square-foot office building along Interstate 94 in Pleasant Prairie were approved this week by the village board.
The new three-story building will be similar to Uline’s existing corporate headquarters located northwest of the new building, which will be on 37 acres, south of Highway Q.
Construction is expected to begin during the spring of 2016 and to be complete in August 2017.
Uline is planning to add up to 325 employees at its facilities in Pleasant Prairie and Kenosha over the next two years, said executive vice president Phil Hunt.
The company’s expansion is being driven by increased offerings and market share, Hunt said.
“I think more people are discovering us and understanding the services we offer,” he said.
Hunt said the jobs require several skill levels and Uline has been able to draw employees from Milwaukee.
“We’re finding so that now where people are in Milwaukee and realizing ‘hey, it’s not all that far down to Pleasant Prairie,” he said.
