The Milwaukee Public Museum gave its first quarter financial report to the Milwaukee County Board’s Parks, Energy and Environment Committee Tuesday.

During the 12 days of Christmas break, the museum had 27,000 visitors, up significantly from last year, which again is being credited to the Dec. 11 reopening of the Streets of Old Milwaukee.

The museum is preparing for its next major traveling exhibit, which will open Feb. 6 and run through May 15: Ultimate Dinosaurs.

The exhibit will feature unusual and very large dinosaurs that roamed the southern hemisphere approximately 200 million years ago.
