- Saturday, Oct. 9 The Milwaukee Bucks will take on the Charlotte Bobcats in the team’s third preseason matchup of the 2010 – 2011 season. Game will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Bradley Center.
- Saturday, Oct. 9 The St. Joseph Basilica Foundation will host its Tenth Annual Loaves and Fishes Gala and Silent Auction at the U.S. Bank gathering place at the Milwaukee County Zoo beginning at 5:30 p.m. Mary Rose will receive the tenth annual Franciscan Hope Award for her service to the poor and dedication to the Church with her work at St. Joseph’s Comprehensive High School for Girls in Cameroon, Africa. Known as Mama Rose to the 300 plus women at the school, she inspires them with a sense of hope. Dinner, and a live and silent auction will also be highlights of the event. Preceding the event there will be a 4 p.m. mass at the Basilica.
