A “Stand up for Trains Wisconsin” rally will be held Saturday, Oct. 16, in Pewaukee with supporters of high-speed passenger rail in Wisconsin.
ProRail is joining the Wisconsin Sierra Club, WISPIRG and several other organizations in hosting the free rally, which will start at noon at the Country Springs Hotel.
According to ProRail, the construction and operation of an intercity rail system will bring jobs and economic development to Wisconsin.
ProRail and its web site, www.prorail.com, were established by the Wisconsin Association of Railroad Passengers.
