Republicans use Barrett ad in Colorado race

The Republican Governors Association is playing up Tom Barrett’s claims that he helped persuade Republic Airlines to relocate operations to Milwaukee – sort of.
The RGA uses Barrett’s claims on the jobs in ad that says Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, a Democratic candidate for Colorado governor, was warned by the Frontier Airlines CEO that the city’s taxes were too high and that it forced the airline to move 200 jobs to Milwaukee.
"Now a Democratic candidate in another state confirms Hickenlooper’s failure," the text reads across the screen before a portion of Barrett’s first campaign ad runs. It’s labeled as a "Wisconsin Political Advertisement" across the bottom. But the ad does not mention Barrett by name.
"John Hickenlooper, economic development machine … for Milwaukee," the text reads.
