State Sen. JIM SULLIVAN, D-Wauwatosa, said this week he’s shooting to hold a public hearing on his payday loan bill in mid-March in West Allis, and that he’s attempting to arrange a meeting with Assembly sponsor GORDON HINTZ, D-Oshkosh, to iron out the differences in the bills.

Former state Sen. GARY GEORGE penned a letter to Gov. JIM DOYLE this week indicating his support for the administration’s minority business initiatives. George, a Milwaukee Democrat who served a four-year prison term on corruption charges, said he was misquoted in a story about the former Minority Business Grants and Loan Program and the new Forward Innovation Fund.
