Organizing for America (OFA), the organization supporting President Barack Obama’s re-election, reopened its downtown Milwaukee office in the Historic Third Ward this week.
The reopening is the first of many Obama campaign offices that will be reopened across the state. Volunteers joined together with state Sen. Chris Larson (D-Milwaukee) to hold the grand reopening in preparation for the 2012 election.
The Milwaukee office is located at 316 N. Milwaukee St., Suite 440.
Organizing for America (OFA) has been engaging and training volunteers and supporters since shortly after Obama was inaugurated. Since the launch of the re-election campaign in April, OFA Wisconsin staff and volunteers have held trainings, planning sessions, house parties, and phone banks. OFA Wisconsin volunteers have made more than 100,000 phone calls to supporters, held more than 1,600 one-on-one meetings and hosted over 650 house parties and meetings.
Through these efforts they have collected over 14,000 "I’m In" cards from supporters pledging to support Obama in 2012.
