Memphis, Tenn.-based AutoZone Inc. plans to additional stores in the Milwaukee area. AutoZone recently purchased an acre at 1268-84 E. Sumner St. in Hartford and a 34,410-square-foot vacant lot at N64 W24901 Silver Spring Dr. in Sussex.
AutoZone is currently building about 8-10 stores in the state and will have 4-5 stores in the metro Milwaukee area under construction this year, including stores at the sites purchased in Hartford and Sussex, said Jon Thoresen, a broker with Milwaukee-based Commercial Property Associates Inc. that represents AutoZone.

"We’re working on deals of a couple more (AutoZone) sites that should be closing later this year," he said.
AutoZone has 4,390 stores in the U.S.
