North Shore Bank features local artist
North Shore Bankโs Grafton branch launched an artist appreciation program that features a local artistโs work in the branch each month. Bonnie Paruch was named the artist of the month for April, her paintings are on display at the bank.
Paruch is a nationally acclaimed artist; she owns her own gallery in Sister Bay, and has won national awards for her work. Paruch will speak at North Shore Bank on Saturday, April 30 from 10a.m. to noon at the Grafton Branch, located at 2301 Wisconsin Ave. The event is free and open to the public, light food and refreshments will be served.
Restaurant at Blue Harbor Resort opens with new name
Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan recently re-opened its on-site restaurant under a new name, Lattitude. The restaurant will be operated by the resort. Illinois-based New Frontiers Capital and Massachusetts-based Claremont Companies purchased Blue Harbor Resort in March for $4.2 million. Weissgerber Restaurants held the previous agreement with the restaurant. That agreement ended on April 2.
The restaurant will be open in April and May from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 4:30 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. During the Summer, the new restaurant will be open on Tuesdays and Sundays as well.
Lake Express moves to summer home
The Lake Express high speed ferry recently came out of winter storage and is now located at its summer location in the Port of Milwaukee and the Lake Express Termainal, 2300 S. Lincoln Memorial Drive. Lake Express has also announced a series of travel discounts for passengers this season including motorcycles ride for free from April until June, kids under age 17 ride for $12 and $122 for roundtrip in September and October.

Nominations begin for Future 50 Awards
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2011 Future 50 Awards, saluting the Milwaukee areaโs fastest-growing companies.
The Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) and its Council of Small Business Executives (COSBE) began the Future 50 program to recognize the outstanding achievements of local, fast-growing entrepreneurs.
The Future 50 Program recognizes privately-owned companies in the seven-county region that have been in business for at least three years and have shown significant revenue and employment growth.
The winning companies will be honored at the annual Future 50 Luncheon on Sept. 15.
