Palmyra-based Cultivate by Standard Process Inc. announced it has signed an agreement with Flambeau Inc., an injection molding facility in Baraboo, for on-site, chiropractic-led corporate wellness services.

โ€œFlambeau has had its own clinic for over two years, and the addition of Cultivate will add another level of service for our associates,โ€ says Mark Rieland, Flambeau director of human resources. โ€œWe are excited about the cooperative effort to reduce work-related injuries, as well as providing nutritional counseling and chiropractic care.โ€

Cultivateโ€™s on-site chiropractic-centered wellness model delivers statistically- and clinically-significant differences in employee health factors and the reduction of long-term health risks, according to the Medical College of Wisconsin and UW-Milwaukee School of Public Health.

These conclusions derive from 10 years of employee data at Cultivateโ€™s parent company, Standard Process, which engaged the Cultivate on-site, chiropractic-led wellness program. Participant blood pressure, nutrition and stress levels improved along with better body mass index, cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

Roughly one-third of the Standard Process employee base initially participated in the Cultivate corporate wellness program, and currently 97 percent participate. The results have been a 55 percent reduction in health care costs; 24 percent reduction in short-term disability claims; 18 percent reduction in spousal health care costs; and 60 percent reduction in employee turnover.

โ€œWeโ€™ve seen firsthand the impact that dedicated, trained chiropractors can have being on-site as a truly integrated part of an organizationโ€™s overall wellness program,โ€ said Cultivate president Jerry Curtin. โ€œWe offer corporations statistical proof that our corporate wellness modelโ€”partnered with key corporate functions in HR, finance and operationsโ€”delivers sustained improvement to employee health factors.โ€
