Aurora Medical Center Summit and Aurora Medical Center Oshkosh made Consumer Reports’ list of top hospitals for patient safety and respect.
In the report on “The surprising way to stay safe in the hospital: Increase your odds by getting staff to listen and to treat you with respect,” Aurora Medical Center of Oshkosh received a safety score of 75 and Aurora Medical Center of Summit earned a score of 61.
The report’s list was a compilation of 32 U.S. hospitals out of 2,591 that received a safety score higher than 60 on a scale of 1 to 100. Safety scores are based on factors such as mortality rates, infection rates and hospital readmissions.
