Sturtevant development will create more than 200 jobs
A $32 million development planned for the southwest corner of Highways H and 11 in Sturtevant will create 244 jobs, according to village officials. Few details have been released about the project. Village trustees and members of the Community Development Authority Tuesday night approved changing Sturtevant’s comprehensive land use plan to put one of the last pieces in place for the development to break ground. Stone Creek ads cafe and bakery at HQ
Stone Creek Coffee last week held a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony for its new café and bakery kitchen at its headquarters and factory at 422 N. 5th St. in downtown Milwaukee. The building is the location of Stone Creek Coffee’s corporate offices and roasting facility. The new café and bakery is the ninth café and bakery for Stone Creek Coffee. The facility will now be open to the public and will feature tours, tastings, coffee classes and other events. The project, a major renovation of the 124-year-old downtown building, is part of a $1.3 million expansion and renovation that will include remodels of all of Stone Creek’s neighborhood cafes.

Turner Hall restaurant reopens
The Turner Hall Restaurant, located at 1038 N. Fourth St. in downtown Milwaukee, reopened last week. The restaurant closed several years ago and was recently renovated by the BMO Harris Bradley Center under an agreement with the Milwaukee Turners and the Turner Ballroom Preservation Trust.

Popeyes planned near West Milwaukee Walmart
A 2,419-square-foot Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen restaurant is planned at 4209 W. Greenfield Ave., Milwaukee. The site is just south of a Walmart store that is under construction in West Milwaukee. The restaurant will have 15 full-time and 10 part-time employees. Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen has more than 2,000 locations worldwide.

McDonald’s to rebuild Brown Deer Road restaurant
McDonald’s Corp. plans to tear down its 39-year-old, 4,883-square-foot restaurant at 8100 W. Brown Deer Road, located in front of the former Northridge Mall, and build a new, 3,915-square-foot restaurant in its place. McDonald’s has been systematically replacing all of its older restaurant buildings with new restaurant buildings.
