Casey Schaak has been promoted to account executive at Vollrath Associates. Schaak has been with the firm since 2011 and graduated from Marquette University in 2010.

Rachel Oliver has been appointed senior brand leader and direct marketing organization expert at NOISE, Inc.’s Milwaukee office. Oliver will take on her new position with nearly 20 years of experience in branding, marketing, strategic planning and promotions. She previously worked at VISIT Milwaukee for more than 15 years.

Eric Friedle has been appointed president of Publisher’s Diversified Mail Service, Inc., a marketing solutions firm located in Milwaukee. Friedle has worked for the company since 2010 and manages staff, finances and marketing campaigns as well as interacts with customers directly.

HY Connect has added Dan Roelke to its Milwaukee office as a media planner. Roelke has four years of experience in marketing and comes to HY Connect from Clear Channel Outdoor where he was responsible for creating marketing presentations and assisted with scheduling and competitive analysis.

Russ Fowler has been promoted to executive creative director of Derse, a marketing agency based in Milwaukee. Fowler, who has more than 25 years of experience in marketing, has worked for Derse since 1994. In his new role, he will oversee a creative team focused on merging experiential marketing, environments design and multimedia design with the goal of forming solutions that drive sales through client tradeshow, marketing environments and event programs.

The Milwaukee Art Museum has hired Bryan Kwapil as director of visitor experience and Jason Cornelius as food and beverage director. Kwapil will manage staff in events, security, the Museum Store and admissions. In his last position, he was head of the curatorial and exhibition divisions at the Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum in New York. Cornelius has nearly 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He has previously worked for the Milwaukee Bucks, Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, and Bacchus. At the art museum, he will divide his time among Café Calatrava, The Coffee Shop, and the catering department.

» Banking & Finance

GSF Mortgage, headquartered in Brookfield, has promoted Jennifer Geiger to mortgage loan originator. Geiger has worked for GSF Mortgage for the past five years, most recently as a loan closer.

Tom Knapp has been named senior vice president and chief information officer at Pewaukee-based Waterstone Mortgage Corp. In his new position, Knapp will work with the Information Technology department to help maintain the company’s systems. Prior to Waterstone Mortgage Corporation, Knapp worked for Fiserv, Inc. as senior vice president and general manager.

Madeleine Lubar has been appointed board chair of the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design’s (MIAD’s) board of trustees. Prior to her new leadership position, Lubar was MIAD’s vice chair and co-founding chair of the college’s Creative Fusion fundraiser. She has been a board trustee since 2006 and also previously served as an attorney and community volunteer in arts and education.

Natalie Fuerst Strade has joined Mount Mary College as the director of program management for the Women’s Leadership Institute. In her new role, Fuerst Strade will manage logistics for the institute’s programs and create marketing and business development strategies. She previously worked at PNC Bank where she focused on branding, planning events, strengthening relationships with community members and enhancing marketing communications strategies.

» Environmental

Endpoint Solutions Corporation has welcomed John Ferris and Todd Weik to its stormwater and green infrastructure practice. Both Ferris and Weik will concentrate on designing and implementing storm water storage innovations. Each brings more than 30 years of experience in surface water planning and design to the firm.

» Health Care

Dr. John Fangman has been named director of collaborative urban clinical programs for Froedtert Hospital and the Medical College Physicians. In this leadership position, he will focus on Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin’s efforts to improve health for underserved populations throughout Milwaukee. Fangman also serves as an associate professor of infectious disease at the Medical College of Wisconsin and has worked as chief medical officer at the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin for the past five years. He will retain his position at the AIDS Resource Center as he takes over the collaborative urban clinical programs.

Pathologist Dr. Irene Aguilera-Barrantes has been named assistant professor of pathology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Aguilera-Barrantes, who also practices at Froedtert Hospital, focuses on surgical and gynecological pathology. She previously served as an assistant professor in the pathology department at Hospital San Juan de Dios in San Jose, Costa Rica.

The Medical College of Wisconsin and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin have added neonatologist Dr. Scott Welak to their staffs. Welak will work as an assistant professor of pediatrics at the Medical College and will take on patients at the Children’s Hospital. He previously completed a neonatal-perinatal fellowship at the Medical College and also earned his doctorate degree at the Medical College.

Rogers Memorial Hospital, located in Oconomowoc, has welcomed addiction specialist Dr. Ian Powell to its medical team. Among his new responsibilities, Powell will assist with complex inpatient chemical dependency detoxification cases and will consult addiction patients in both day treatment programs and weekend coverage programs.

Tricia Geraghty has been named the first corporate vice president for marketing and public relations at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Geraghty has focused on brand and marketing strategy at Marquette University since 2001 and also served as the university’s first vice president for marketing, a position she helped develop in 2005.

HNI, a business insurance firm located in New Berlin, has added three new staff members. Bob Burnside has joined the staff as account manager. Mary Ellen Stone has been named account administrator. Angelica Hudy has been hired to serve as a receptionist.

Willis of Wisconsin has added Kate Scherkenbach to its Milwaukee office as a senior client manager.

» Legal Services

Quarles & Brady has added three attorneys to its Milwaukee office. Lindsey Davis has been hired as an associate in the Labor & Employment Group. James Goldschmidt and Leila Sahar will work as associates in the Commercial Litigation Group.

» Manufacturing

Schenck AccuRate, based in Whitewater, has welcomed Jessica Palombi to its staff. Palombi will serve as marketing coordinator, focusing largely on trade show coordination, PR campaigns, social media management, market research initiatives and direct mail management.

» Nonprofit

Brooke Infusino has been named director of talent development at the Kenosha Area Business Alliance (KABA). In this position, which the alliance recently created, Infusino will work to strengthen connections with educational institutions, manage mentor and scholarship programs under the KABA Foundation and lead Kenosha County’s young professional group known as Y-Link. Prior to KABA, Infusino served as an editor at Zizzo Group Marketing + PR + New Media.

» Real Estate

Cresa, a corporate real estate advisory firm, has hired Danielle Kapitz as business manager for its Milwaukee office. In her new role, Kapitz will contribute to marketing, operations management and business development. She previously worked with MIG as a management consultant.
