Industries for the Blind, a non-profit organization devoted to providing jobs for the visually impaired, plans to build a 48,400-square-foot warehouse addition to its facility at 445 S. Curtis Road, West Allis. The project will be built in two phases with a 21,100-square-foot first phase and a 27,300-square-foot second phase. The project was originally proposed in 2010, but Industries for the Blind did not move forward with the project at that time.

A Family Dollar store has been proposed for a 12,000-square-foot space at 9306 W. Greenfield Ave. in West Allis. The building is just west of a CVS pharmacy.

Waukesha-based Redmond Company plans to build a 5,246-square-foot, multi-tenant retail building in an outlot of the Walmart store at 3711 S. Taylor Dr. in Sheboygan. One of the tenants in the building would be a Qdoba restaurant.

A Jimmy John’s sandwich shop will open in a building southwest of South Eighth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue in downtown Sheboygan.
