Cybros backs out of valley plans

Cybros The Sprouted Bakehouse has dropped its plans to move to a new facility in the Menomonee Valley.

In September, Cybros announced plans to move from a 7,000-square-foot facility in Waukesha to a 20,000-square-foot facility that would be built in the Menomonee Valley in Milwaukee. The site had room for future expansion of the bakery to 40,000 square feet.

But now the company has decided to cancel those plans, said spokesman Evan Zeppos.

“The Valley site, upon further examination, just didn’t work out for the company from a broad economic standpoint,” Zeppos said. “It’s not one thing. It’s a number of things.”

The company is still looking for a new location and is considering several, including a couple in the city of Milwaukee, Zeppos said. The company is considering existing buildings and vacant sites where a new structure could be built.
