Jacksonville, Fla.-based Firehouse Subs will open a location in Ashwaubenon and plans to open 42 stores in Wisconsin and northern Illinois, including up to 25 in the Milwaukee area, according to a report this week in the Green Bay Press Gazette.
Firehouse will likely target 1,200- to 1,600-square-foot retail space in high traffic areas in suburban locations, said Cory Sovine of Siegel-Gallagher. The sites will be similar to those targeted by other sub sandwich shop chains such as Cousin’s, he said.
“It’s nothing crazy, exotic or new,” Sovine said. “But, I’ve heard nothing but great things about the Firehouse Subs brand.”
