RedFusion Studios relocates to Third Ward office

RedFusion Studios, a product design and development firm focused on integrating technologies with manufacturers’ products, will relocate its Port Washington office to the fifth floor of the Phoenix Building, 219 Milwaukee Street, in Milwaukee’s Third Ward by Oct. 1.

The development firm is headquartered in Princeton, Wis.

According to Tom Heidel, RedFusion director of sales and marketing, the company had originally planned to move temporarily due to a four-month renovation process in its current office at 211 N. Franklin Street in Port Washington. But when the projections for the renovation plans stretched to six to eight months, RedFusion reconsidered. The company found the office space in the Phoenix Building with a comparable lease to its Port Washington office and decided to relocate altogether.

Heidel said his staff is eager to join the creative environment in the Third Ward.

“I just think for one the environment in the Third Ward is very exciting to us, and two it’s a lot more accessible to quite a few of the clients we work with in southeastern Wisconsin,” Heidel said. “I think it helps us as a company serve our customers better, and it’s easier to attract talent.”

The new office space measures 2,800 square feet. RedFusion plans to expand the space with an adjacent office space in the Phoenix Building, which will add another 2,800 square feet. Heidel said the company hopes to complete the expansion six months after moving.

The Milwaukee office will have eight to ten employees to start out with and will add another five to 10 employees after the expansion, Heidel said.

RedFusion has additional office locations in Chicago and Madison with 40 employees total and 25 to 30 active clients including Costco, GE Healthcare and Georgia-Pacific.

“We always make sure we know what’s the latest and greatest in emerging technologies, and we test that to know what’s ready for primetime and what needs more time to mature,” Heidel said.

“The technology that’s ready to go – we work with our clients to integrate that into their product line,” he said.
