Beth Wnuk, former regional president of Wisconsin for PNC Financial Services Group, has been named executive director of the Womenโs Leadership Institute at Mount Mary College.
In her new role, Wnuk will oversee all aspects of the Womenโs Leadership Institute, including operations, strategic planning, communications, collaborative partnerships, advocacy and outreach.
In support of Mount Maryโs Centennial year in 2013 and name change to Mount Mary University, Wnuk also will oversee the development of new programming to advance the collegeโs second century of developing leaders for social change. Wnuk will assume her new position on July 30.
โBethโs business savvy is well-known in the community,โ said Mount Mary College president Eileen Schwalbach. โWhat may be less known is her faith-based passion for ethical leadership and social justice โ principles that are at the heart of the School Sisters of Notre Dameโs mission. Weโre very fortunate to have Beth bringing her experience, talent and vision to this important position.
In her new role at Mount Mary, Wnuk will integrate her strong ties to the business community with her leadership experience to revitalize the Womenโs Leadership Instituteโs mission.
โI look forward to helping shape a working model that prepares future leaders with the skills they need to transform the organizations and communities they serve,โ Wnuk said.
โBeth will be a great fit in this new role as she has already demonstrated a willingness to create and support career paths to leadership for young women in our community,โ said Julia Taylor, president of the Greater Milwaukee Committee. โI have no doubt that her strong connections to business and community leaders and her reputation for integrity and value-driven ideas will produce some wonderful programs that will serve both Mount Maryโs Womenโs Leadership Institute and our greater community very well.โ
Wnuk will join current Womenโs Leadership Institute staff members Tracy Milkowski and Rebecca Ruidl who have been providing ongoing programs and continuity for the Institute while a search was underway for a new executive director.
Mount Mary continues to bolster its leadership team as it named former Milwaukee Brewers executive Lynn Sprangers vice president of communications and community engagement earlier this month.
