U.S. Bank announced Tuesday that it is providing more than $2.8 million in new markets tax credit equity for the construction of a 52,000-square-foot office and fabrication facility for J.F. Ahern Co. in the Menomonee Valley in Milwaukee.
The facility is under construction and is expected to be complete in early 2013. It will cost $10 million to build the facility, which will be dedicated to fire extinguisher recharging and modular construction fabrication. About 215 employees will work in the facility. Ahern plans to expand the facility to 90,000 square feet at a later date.
Premier Offices, which rents small office spaces for $500 to $800 per month, is now providing office spaces in the Germania Building at 135 W. Wells St. in downtown Milwaukee.
Habitat for Humanity recently began construction of its 500th home in Milwaukee. That home will be located at 2228 N. 40th St. Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity is building seven homes in the city’s Washington Park neighborhood.
