Abele appoints Lindberg to county technology post

County Executive Chris Abele on Thursday named Chris Lindberg, former executive manager of technology services for MillerCoors, as the Milwaukee County information management director.
The director provides technology and application services and support to all departments within the county.
Lindberg will bring Milwaukee County a depth of experience in strategic planning, corporate technical architecture, content/knowledge management and the implementation of enterprise-grade solutions, Abele said.
While working as an executive and senior manager in information technology he has managed multi-million dollar budgets and projects.
“Chris has led numerous teams through the development and implementation of technology strategy and services,” Abele said. “His depth of IT experience makes him an excellent choice to position the County’s IT Department to increase the efficiency of the services provided by the County. “
Lindberg said, “As a longtime resident of Milwaukee County, I am pleased to contribute my 28 years of information technology experience in the private sector to public service in Chris Abele’s administration."
The appointment requires County Board confirmation.
