Stein’s Gardens & Gifts plans to open a store in the Hawks Nursery property at 12217 Watertown Plank Road in Wauwatosa.
Stein’s will take over the retail store and garden center operations at Hawks Nursery. Hawk’s will maintain its landscaping and design business at the site.
Stein’s has 15 locations in Wisconsin, but the Wauwatosa location will be just its third store in Milwaukee County. The two Stein’s Milwaukee County stores are on the south side of Milwaukee and in Greenfield. Last year Stein’s closed its store at 8801 W. Brown Deer Road in Milwaukee.
