Region’s industrial market vacancy rate dips to 6.5%

The Milwaukee area industrial real estate market remains on a major roll.

The area’s industrial space vacancy rate dipped from 6.7 percent in the third quarter to 6.5 percent in the fourth quarter of 2012, according to the latest report from Xceligent and the Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin (CARW). The vacancy rate is at its lowest level since 2006.

The region’s industrial real estate market had positive absorption of 425,584 square feet in the fourth quarter, down from 1.7 million square feet in the third quarter. But, it was the 11th consecutive quarter of positive absorption for the region’s industrial real estate market.
