Donna Smith, executive vice president and head of corporate banking at Associated Banc-Corp, has announced she will retire on June 1, 2015.
The Green Bay-based parent company of Associated Bank will restructure her corporate banking executive responsibilities.
John Utz, executive vice president and head of the company’s specialized financial services group, will take on Corporate Banking North in addition to his other responsibilities. Corporate Banking North includes corporate banking activities in Wisconsin and Minnesota and asset-based finance.
Breck Hanson, executive vice president and head of commercial real estate, will add Corporate Banking South to his responsibilities. Corporate Banking South includes corporate banking services in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Missouri. He will become the company’s Chicago market president through the transition.
“Donna has been a leader and role model across the financial services industry during her five years at Associated,” said Philip Flynn, Associated president and chief executive officer. “We congratulate her on her many accomplishments and pending plans for retirement.”
