Clement Manor Inc. in Greenfield announced the appointment of Dennis Ferger as its new chief executive officer.
Ferger will assume responsibilities of the School Sisters of St. Francis-sponsored health care organization on Jan. 1, 2015, and will succeed Richard Rau, who is retiring.
Ferger has been part of the Clement Manor leadership team for 20 years, beginning as chief financial officer of both Clement Manor and Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Hospital (another sponsored ministry of the School Sisters of St. Francis) before being promoted to a combined role of CFO and health care administrator in 1996.
During his tenure, Clement Manor became the first health care facility in the State of Wisconsin to receive the National Level 3: Gold Award for Excellence in Quality from the American Healthcare Association/National Association for Assisted Living.
Most recently, Ferger oversaw a $10 million enhancement project that included remodeling 171 independent and assisted living apartments and the conversion of semi-private short-term rehabilitation rooms to private rooms.
Ferger said, “Clement Manor has been helping families for 33 years and has gained a reputation for providing a high level of quality care. We will continue on our quality journey by further defining and building the systems necessary to provide the level of quality care that our elders deserve and that the community has come to expect of us.”
“The provincial team and treasurer of the U.S. Province of the School Sisters of St. Francis are extremely pleased with the selection of Dennis Ferger as Clement Manor’s new CEO. Dennis is a true Servant Leader who models Clement Manor’s values of respect, collaboration, and quality service,” said Sister Regina Pacis Mesrvey, director of sponsorship Services for the U.S. Province.
Steve Skoronski, chairman of the board of directors at Clement Manor, said, “We are fortunate that our next leader is already a highly valued member of our staff. Dennis brings extensive industry and executive experience along with a heartfelt passion for the mission and values of Clement Manor. His connection to the culture and people of Clement Manor will make this transition a smooth and successful one.”
