The second annual Internet of Things (IoT) World Forum is taking place at the Hyatt Regency Chicago today through Thursday. It is expected to offer advanced connectivity of devices, systems and services, with applications extending into infrastructure, thermostats, health care monitoring devices, automobiles with built-in sensors and more.
Cisco, which is hosting the Internet of Things World Forum, describes it as “the network of physical objects accessed through the Internet, as defined by technology analysts and visionaries.”
IBM refers to it as “an evolution in which objects are capable of interacting with other objects.”
