Waukesha State Bank has opened its new Brookfield branch at 18300 W. Capitol Drive. It replaces the old location at 19265 W. Capitol Drive.

A ribbon cutting was held last week to celebrate the opening of the 5,500-square-foot office. Waukesha County Executive Dan Vrakas, Brookfield Mayor Steve Ponto, bank officials, customers and local business representatives attended the event. Waukesha State Bank also held prize drawings and other activities throughout the week.

Construction of the new building began last August. It has a community room that is available to local groups and nonprofits, drive-up windows and a drive-up ATM. Katie Hibbard will continue to serve as Brookfield branch manager.

“We’re excited to provide customers with this new location giving them easier access to the office,” said Ty Taylor, president and chief executive officer of Waukesha State Bank. “We’re looking forward to continuing to serve the Brookfield community with the same friendly, one-on-one, personalized approach to banking.”

Waukesha State Bank also has branches in Delafield, Mukwonago, Muskego, New Berlin, Oconomowoc, Pewaukee, Sussex and Waukesha. It is one of the largest locally-owned independent banks in the state.
