SteelWind expands services, looks to grow through acquisition

Oak Creek-based SteelWind Industries, Inc., a steel fabrication company, announced it is adding new equipment to its current heat treating services and is looking to purchase additional businesses in effort to grow the company through acquisition.

“We are using this time to prepare for increased demand into the future,” said Jason Geiger, vice president. “We are also seeking additional businesses or product lines to acquire that would complement our core capabilities in fabrication, heat treat, blast, paint, machining, and assembly.  Ideally a business that we can bolt on to our current facility utilizing our abilities as a one stop shop where we can perform all processes from fabrication to completed product.”

SteelWind is adding two new natural gas fired furnaces “designed to accommodate customer demand to cost effectively run smaller parts and deliver fast turnaround time on jobs,” the company said. With the new additions, SteelWind will have a total of eight furnaces.
