Unveiling ceremony next week for The Legacy

An unveiling ceremony will be held on Monday, Nov. 30, at 1 p.m. for The Legacy development. The plans for the development are for 51 new, single family homes to be built on vacant lots within an area bounded by West Garfield Avenue, and North 21st, North 24th and West Brown streets in Milwaukee’s central city. So far one home has been built and occupied in the project. Two other homes are under construction on a speculative basis. More information about the project is available at: www.thelegacymilwaukee.com. The project is being developed by Legacy Development Partners, which includes Milwaukee-based Legacy Redevelopment Corp., Wauwatosa-based Irgens Development Partners LLC and Milwaukee-based Williams Development Corp. At Monday’s unveiling ceremony Legacy Bank chairwoman and CEO Deloris Sims and Legacy Redevelopment Corp. founding president and CEO Sally Peltz will receive dedication plaques from Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and students from nearby Brown Street Academy. Preferred mortgage financing for the project is provided by Legacy Bank.
