The Racine Art Museum Association (RAMA) recently announced the election of five new members to its Board of Directors. The new members include: Darryl Babu, vice president North American marine marketing, Twin Disc, Inc.; David Buhler, owner, The Greens and Goods Company; Judi Flegel, art collector and volunteer; John Hand, retired urban planner; and Susan Sanabria, former federal lobbyist and volunteer.
The Milwaukee Chamber Orchestra (MCO) board recently voted to make James Nelson, deputy business editor at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the organization’s president.

Milwaukee-based Marshall & Ilsley Corp. recently made several high-level promotions. Scott Sandor has been promoted to vice president of Marshall & Ilsley Trust Company N.A.; John Langenohl has been named vice president of M&I Equipment Finance; Julie Foley Griffin has also been promoted to vice president of M&I Equipment; and Christine Rickaby has been promoted to vice president of M&I Wealth Management.

KPH Construction Corporation, Milwaukee, recently made some changes to its staff. Steve Madziarczyk was promoted to vice president of construction, Eric Premo was promoted to project manager, Leo Talsky was promoted to business development and director of mentoring and incubator program, Adam Batchelder was promoted to assistant project manager, and Levi Jungbluth was recently hired as a project engineer.

Michael Brown was recently selected as chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Concordia University Wisconsin School of Pharmacy in Mequon. He will also serve as an associate professor in the department. Brown previously served for nine years at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy as an associate professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Care and Health Systems and as director of the Pharmaceutical Care Learning Center.
Kriss Schulz has been named director of planning and community relations at Marquette University High School in Milwaukee. Prior to joining MUHS, Schulz worked as an account manager for a local marketing communications firm. She also has held the positions of director of communications and development at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, and assistant vice president of communication at Marquette University.

Systems, Inc., Germantown, recently added two employees to its team of engineers. Brandon Drucker was hired as a mechanical engineer, and Paul Belongia also joined the team as a senior design engineer.

The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) Commission recently elected Dale Richards, former Oak Creek mayor, as its chairman. Wallace White, principal and CEO of W2Excel LLC, was also unanimously elected to serve as vice chair of the commission.

The Froedtert Hospital Foundation, Wauwatosa, recently awarded fellowships to four physicians who have completed residency training and are pursuing further specialization. Fellowships are established by donors at Froedtert Hospital. The Daniel M. Soref Fellowship for Clinical Neuroscience, a full-time appointment in the Department of Neurology, was renewed to Dr. Thomas Wolfe; The Donald J. Schuenke Cancer Fellowship, a full-time appointment at the Department of Medicine, Division of Neoplastic Diseases, was awarded to Dr. Ben George; The Mazie Froedtert Willms & Sue Froedtert Cancer Fellowship, a full-time appointment in the Department of Medicine, Division of Neoplastic Diseases, was awarded to Dr. Veerpal Singh; and the Women’s Sports Medicine Fellowship, a full-time appointment in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Women’s Sports Medicine Program, was awarded to Dr. Megan Noon.
Dr. Jay Hurh, board-certified anesthesiologist, recently joined the physicians of Advanced Pain Management (APM). Hurh will be seeing patients at locations throughout Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha.
Dr. Janet Rader, has been appointed chairman and the Jack A. & Elaine D. Klieger professor of obstetrics and gynecology at The Medical College of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa. Radar will also practice at Froedtert Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, both also in Wauwatosa.
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society – Wisconsin Chapter recently recognized Aurora Health care neurologist Dr. Bhupendra Khatri, with its 2009 Physician Appreciation Award. The recognition commends Dr. Khatri for his service to people living with multiple sclerosis and his research to treat it.
Dermatologic surgeon Dr. Marcy Neuburg, has been awarded the Thomas L. Smallwood Award for Patient Care Excellence by the board of directors of Froedtert Hospital. The award was established in 2003 to honor outstanding contributions to the care of patients at the hospital.

Rhonda Kirkwood was recently named to Sheboygan-based Acuity’s board of directors. Kirkwood is principal of Kirkwood Consulting, Inc. in Milwaukee and brings her experience as both a corporate leader and entrepreneur to Acuity’s Board.

The national magazine Super Lawyers recently selected DeWitt Ross & Stevens, S.C., attorney Douglas Frazer, who works in the firm’s Brookfield office, for inclusion in the July issue of Super Lawyers, Corporate Counsel Edition, for his work in tax. Only five percent of the lawyers in the state are named by Super Lawyers. Selection for Wisconsin Super Lawyers involves peer nominations, a panel-review process, and independent research.
The Board of Directors of Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren S.C., Milwaukee, recently announced that Jennifer D’Amato has been elected to serve her first term on the firm’s board. She replaces Thomas Funk, a long-time board member who did not seek re-election. Jerome Janzer and Mark Cameli were also re-elected to their board positions.

Jeff Reigle, president and CEO of Regal Ware, Inc., Kewaskum, has been elected to a three-year term on the Direct Selling Association 2009-2010 Board of Directors. The Direct Selling Association (DSA) is the national trade association of the leading firms that manufacture and distribute goods and services sold directly to consumers.

The Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center (JCC) recently elected Susan Strait as chair of its board of directors. Strait had served as a vice chair and has been actively involved at the JCC for several years.
The March of Dimes Wisconsin Chapter recently announced the promotion of state director of operations Greg Hollinger to the position of associate state director. Hollinger joined the March of Dimes as the executive director of the Capital Wisconsin Chapter in March 1998. Prior to the March of Dimes, Hollinger worked for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for more than 19 years. Melissa Hages was also added as a family support specialist in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Richard Phalen has been named vice president of employment services at the Milwaukee Center For Independence. Phalen will lead the agency’s employment programs for individuals with disabilities and disadvantages. Prior to joining MCFI, Phalen was a sales and marketing executive at Metavante Corp. He also served as executive director of adult education programs at Marian College.
Real Estate
Outlook Development Group, Franklin, recently added Rob Hicks and Joe Stamborski to the organization. Hicks will head up the industrial acquisitions and investments team and Stamborski will work with retail and medical acquisitions and investments.

Tushaus Computer Services, Milwaukee, recently announced that Kris Palen has joined the company as director of marketing and communications. Palen comes to Tushaus with more than 20 years of experience in information technology marketing.
