Fiserv Inc., Brookfield, recently announced that it has signed 45 new clients in the past 12 months for its Account.Create online account opening solution. The Account.Create tool enables credit unions to provide web-based account origination capabilities. The Account.Create solution enables prospective members to complete new membership applications, and existing account holders to open new accounts online, 24 hours a day. A prospect can complete an application from anywhere they have an Internet connection. In addition to processing the application, the solution verifies the applicant’s identity, pulls the credit bureau report, and recommends additional products and services based on the applicant’s demographics and credit union business rules. The tool also supports account funding via ACH, credit or debit card transactions.
Bradley Foundation
The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation recently awarded more than $2.2 million during the second quarter of 2009 in support of local education, arts and grassroots civic organizations. Some of the recipients include: Beckum-Stapleton Little League Inc. (the longest-running African American youth baseball league in the country); Milwaukee Christian Center, Inc. (the sponsoring organization for the grassroots safety program called Operation Impact); Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Inc.; Risen Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church and School; and St. Anthony School
Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corp.
The Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corp. recently awarded College Readiness 21 a $120,000 grant to help Wisconsin’s low income, first generation and minority students finish high school and attend college. College Readiness is a program of the Wisconsin Foundation for Independent Colleges, Inc. (WFIC).
The program supports 500 students in the Milwaukee area, northeastern Wisconsin and southeastern Wisconsin. College Readiness 21has a 100 percent high school completion rate for students enrolled in the program for two years or more, with 89 percent going on to college or technical school. Students are recruited as rising 8th or 9th graders from a broad network of partnering schools and youth serving organizations. CR21 seeks out students who are academically average, low income, first generation college prospects who would not otherwise be on a pre-college track and in many cases would not be on track to graduate from high school. The Great Lakes Higher Education grant will also make it possible for the College Readiness 21 program to restore the program manager position for northeastern Wisconsin to full-time. The position had been cut to half-time due to budget constraints and the struggling economy.

RehabTech Inc., of Oak Creek was recently awarded the 2009 HME NEWS award for the best rehab provider in the United States.
